You no longer were writing software for the Palm, but instead for the Palm Zire, or the III or whatnot. A platform isn't really much of a platform if, from a development perspective, you have to code for every variation of device.

PC Pro Slams the HTC Touch Diamond

However, on the speed of the Diamond, which is his primary complaint, I have to agree with him somewhat - even with the latest ROM update from a couple of weeks back, it's still too slow. That might have been acceptable three years ago, but it's not acceptable today.

The so-called NEON400 doesn't give much away from the ID label document that we see here, but test reports indicate that it's sporting CDMA 850 / 1900 -- just right for launching on Sprint, Verizon, Alltel -- you get the idea -- and obviously, we'll see EV-DO in there as well.
