Recruitment Blogs & Podcasts

Posted Tuesday May 16, 2006, 11:32 pm, Over one day old
David Bowen, who writes a weekly column on websites for the Financial Times, wrote in his April 6 column about the use of blogs and podcasts in recruitment. The second sort of corporate recruitment blog that exists is one which isn’t integrated into the careers site but has a similar purpose.

Disagreeing with Sumser

I help them understand the successful messages (based on deep statistical analysis & global research) and provide them with tools to make that message more credible. Marketing can help identify how to make these ads more effective but it doesn’t eliminate the need for this advert type.

Predictions for 2006

Posted Tuesday May 16, 2006, 11:32 pm, Over one day old
Most job seekers don’t care how many jobs the engines have indexed but prize relevancy. 2006 will see more ATS providers offer RSS feeds instead of email job-agents. Technology here will be used as the enabler, but for the candidate it will not be a technology-led trend.

David Kippen is blogging again?

Posted Tuesday May 16, 2006, 11:32 pm, Over one day old
David Kippen, whose thought strategy blog I was a big fan of at the beginning of the year has a new blog courtesy of his new employers TMP Worldwide. As always David writes relatively little, but if history is an accurate indicator, what he does write is worth reading.

Cadbury Schweppes launches blogs on career site

Posted Tuesday May 16, 2006, 11:32 pm, Over one day old
Cadbury Schwepps have integrated blogs into their graduate site. The idea isn’t a bad one. In fact it’s one that I was considering at one stage. It’s a way of discussing work related issues with a peer group not broadcasting a soap opera of what is happening in their work life.
