Ideas For The 4th

Posted Monday June 30, 2008, 1:05 pm, Over one day old
His family has always gotten together for a huge potluck (I say ‘huge’ because it is at least 40 people strong,) and a night time fireworks display. Then name it “Stars And Stripes Cake.” Make iced tea and float the strawberries in it.

There Is No Denying It

Posted Monday June 30, 2008, 1:05 pm, Over one day old

Entertaining The Idea Of Movie Rental

Posted Monday June 30, 2008, 1:05 pm, Over one day old

Taking Baby Steps Require Cute Shoes

Posted Thursday June 26, 2008, 1:49 pm, Over one day old

Journey Of The Anti-thrift!

Posted Thursday June 26, 2008, 1:49 pm, Over one day old
I married a middle class, blue collar worker and popped out seven babies. It is far cry from the lifestyle that would allow me to live the life of a shopaholic.  Here I am, staring down the business end of my twenties and trying to raise a family of nine on one income.

Summer Reading Programs

Posted Friday June 13, 2008, 1:15 pm, Over one day old
Does your library have a summer reading program? Our does. The summer reading program is nice because it gives our son a goal, and there are various prizes and goodies to help motivate him. Like most things at the library, the summer reading program is free.

Simple Gifts

Posted Wednesday June 11, 2008, 12:36 pm, Over one day old
Our son helps him in the basement work shop and even has his own screwdriver, hammer and ratchet. Today, as I’m typing this on my son’s sixth birthday, I’m watching him pick strawberries and pull out some weeds and I’m amazed at how gentle he is with the plants.
