We've linked to them, we've discussed them, and we thought the whole "best of" thing for 2006 was put to bed. "Can't someone put together an arbitrary list of their favorite videos from 2006, in a downloadable format and provide me with a torrent link?" we've pondered.

Less than four months ago Jacob Kongaika, performing under the artist name Cubworld, decided to take a chance and upload his music on SellaBand. But soon after the first fans (Sellaband terms them, "Believers") bought Parts in his future recordings, things took a different turn for Cubworld.

EMI Changes Tack in China

EMI acting in concert with the rest of the majors recently lost a a copyright infringement suit against Baidu.com in China brought in an attempt to stop Baidu's practice of deep linking to pirated music files. Further Baidu will not cease its practice of deep linking to pirated music tracks.
