For me, this is a simple fact, as the only way Obama can be said to be behind in the popular vote is to count all votes cast in Michigan and Florida in January contests that the party had rejected months before.

Like other likely third party and independent candidates this November like Ralph Nader (predicted by some to be on the ballot in 45 states), Barr has some very different views than likely major party nominees John McCain and Barack Obama.

The proposed amendment should also provide for a direct popular vote for president. I would be in fear of the country’s stability if we were to have another presidential election this year in which the person who places 2nd in the popular vote should get the most electoral votes.

But would they fail to notice that the American Idol contest has drawn to a close after the final contenders both named David battled it out for viewer votes. David Cook was victorious, which may or may not be to his advantage!
