Teifion : Well I'd say that my favorite talk was Jeremy Keith on the system of the world it's titled. I mean there's a lot of moments but the best moment has got to be Teifion, as Marcus calls you, when you went up to Ryan Carson to thank him for the free complimentary tickets to dConstruct.

Fixed Footers without JavaScript

Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, 4:04 pm, Over one day old
A client recently asked me if it was possible to have a page footer which would stick to the bottom of the browser window if the content didn’t fill the window, but behave normally (i.e. be pushed down by the content) when the content was tall enough.

But before we get into that let's take a step back and start off by explaining to those that don't know what agile development is. You'll probably find that after you've gone through a couple iterations you're thinking about things you'd want to change back in the planning section.

To Version Control or Not?

Posted Sunday September 14, 2008, 4:04 pm, Over one day old
With a centralised VCS like subversion, you really need access to that central repository to commit your changes, with a distributed system, all your developers can maintain their own local copies of the repository, commiting changes to the master repository when needed.

If I had been able to get my data online additional incremental backups would not have been a problem. You can throw in any 3.5" internal hard drives you have lying about and it will turn them into one big drive. Also you will not get the entire storage space of the drives you buy.
