New pattern (Vote to Promote), new navigation

Things have been quiet recently in Yahoo’s open pattern library, but behind the scenes we’ve been working on some cool stuff. First of all, we’ve reorganized the navigation for Yahoo!’s internal library and have now updated the navigation of the public library to match.

Using CSS to battle the issues The first thing we tried was to use CSS to align the banners by positioning the parent node containing both ads relatively and the large banner absolutely to the bottom of it. Illustration three : Using CSS, we can keep the font resizing in check.

YUI Theater ? Shawn Henry: ?Web Content Accessibility Guidelines Update?

Some Notes on the YUI Rich Text Editor

Even though there are many DHTML-based RTEs available in the open-source world, including Moxiecode’s excellent TinyMCE, there were four key reasons I took on the challenge of building a new one for YUI. At this point we can use standard DOM manipulation to change them as we see fit.
