Internet Radio in the Bedroom

Posted Monday December 10, 2007, 9:38 am, Over one day old
The WiFi Radio connects to your router and stores more than 5,000 radio stations by country, updated each time the machine is switched on, which you can scroll though via the somewhat pokey LCD display on the top. You can also use it to stream music from your computer.

Posted Sunday December 9, 2007, 1:31 pm, Over one day old
In late October the lab was targeted from Chinese websites, according to eWeek : All of the phishing e-mails instructed lab employees to open an attachment for more information or to click on an embedded link.

The Inanities of the Visionary

Posted Sunday December 9, 2007, 1:31 pm, Over one day old
I don't think that the One Laptop Per Child idea is necessarily the correct way to go about it, but I do believe on the whole the Internet has brought people in the developing world closer to knowledge than any physical library ever has.

Broadband on a Moving Bus

Posted Wednesday December 5, 2007, 9:24 am, Over one day old
I don't know if it's anything to do with my recent column  (probably not) about the need for flat data rates("The Price is Wrong," from Nov 2's WSJ.com ), but m1 of Singapore is now offering unlimited data for its mobile broadband plans.

Closed for Business

Posted Wednesday December 5, 2007, 9:24 am, Over one day old
I'm amazed by how many restaurants, cafes and bars scare away business by not allowing patrons to use their power outlets. Better would be an approach that said, here, use our power, just don't do it when we've got a restaurant full and people waiting.

It's Your Mother Calling

Posted Thursday November 29, 2007, 9:04 am, Over one day old
I was on a bus the other day and the guy in front had his handset volume set so loud that when his phone rang he was so disconcerted he couldn?t turn it off. Some people I notice love their ringtone so much they spend a few contented moments listening to it before picking up.

User Generated Discontent

Posted Tuesday November 27, 2007, 1:04 pm, Over one day old
Like this one, from iTunes Store, where Ricky Gervais' new show is available as an audiobook for 10 quid. More I know the More... bit is just part of the way the web page truncates the review, but it seems somehow apt.
