Google Favicon Redesigns for Web 2.0

I was surprised to see Google has redesigned its favicons to display a modern web 2.0 design to all its web properties. The Google favicon, a small logo which is displayed on browser tabs, browser bookmarks and and address bar now sports a cooler look. Do you like the new design?
