Actually, there hasn?t been any update on the tool nor have they opened up the service to more bloggers. It?s now hosted at a Google Data Center which fortunately made the service more reliable in terms of uptime (before that, users are constantly being greeted with server issue notices).

I'm going to mull it over for a while, but I really think my time for using Performancing metrics is drawing to a close. I still have Google Analytics and I hear the BlogBeat is inching its way into FeedBurner, that could be good (I seem to remember trying and liking them).

Since the Pay-Per-Post?Performancing announcement and my move to use the pre-launch FB stats, I've been waiting to give my review of the service. Well Rick Klau pinged me this morning to let me know that the teasing is over, and the BlogBeat-powered stats are now available for everyone!

The page view does not offer a suitable way to measure the next generation of web sites. These sites will be built with Ajax, Flash and other interactive technologies that allow the user to conduct affairs all within a single web page - like Gmail or the Google Reader.
