This past Sunday I concluded my sermon series from the book of Ruth. The text is posted on the First Congregational Church of Waseca website - wasecachurch.org. The ending of Ruth dovetails quite nicely with Mother's Day.

Easter Sermon and Prayer

As Perry Noble says, "Pray like crazy for this weekend's service." I have no idea who will be in our church, but I know they will hear about Jesus. I'm sure there will be people far from God who need to hear this message, I pray their hearts are soft, that they are fertile soil.

Easter! Come one, come all!!

There isn't a better season than Easter to invite people to come to church with you. Easter is a great opportunity to invite people because the pressure is off of both you the person making the ask, as well as the person being asked. Worst case, someone will tell you "no thanks".

Two presentations that have really hit home with me in the last few years were Mark Driscoll's at Mars Hill Church last year and Bill Hybels' at the close of the 2006 Willow Creek Leadership Summit.
