Although we are seeing more Microformats in blogs every day, we know that they make sense in other places too, and we need a way to encourage people to experiment with them, and find how they can add value to the world. If you have pages with data to share, you can ping it.

The key one is the notion of a positive sum game - that what you are making needs to be designed to add value for all parties who use it, not to try to sequester the value for yourself. That way it can grow in a natural way, because all who use it amplify the value in the world.

Blogher - a peer group and a stiff drink

I didn't attend Blogher, but many of my friends and colleagues did, and mostly got lots out of it. I did pick up an undercurrent of discomfort from my female geek friends at what they saw as the low tech content of the conference, and even 'all these women in high heels giggling together'.

Perhaps its more like a talent management outfit, that needs to hire the most sensitive noses in the businesses-they really need to get that guy Grenouille from Perfume (read the novel it will blow your socks off, and Thomas- buy a copy for your client).
