Chin Soon and Nyssa's Latest Vet Visit

Chin Soon and Nyssa went to the vet on Tuesday. She's lost another 139g and is under half her normal body weight at just 616g. By any standard she is an old ferret so I guess I should be grateful that she's hung around this long and maintained some quality of life.

Hard To Believe My Mom Sent This

The following are some changed and rearranged words to Ian Anderson 's song "Old Black Cat", lamenting the passing of his cat, Mauser. I don't have any songwriting ability but this piece is beautiful and with some new words I've adapted it for Nyssa. I just like the song and loved Nyssa.

A Very Delayed Vaccination Reaction

On Wednesday my three little weasels went to the vet for their rabies vaccinations. I talked about waiting a full hour after vaccination to make sure there was no reaction. Wolfe never heard of a reaction that long after vaccination.

More Vaccinations, No Reactions, and Traveling Weasels

Zephyr and Ella had their distemper vaccinations yesterday, thankfully with no reactions this time. Both Ella and Zephyr were pretreated with Benadryl and they were just fine. This means that the ferrets can pretty much always get a safe play time wherever we are.
