A matter of choice: Too many options not helping the environment

The first two times I didn't buy anything because there were too many options with not enough explanation. The third time I bought two different bulbs to try out. Not so with the energy saving bulbs, you have more than three shapes, three kinds of glas, soft light etc.

So when December 22nd arrives, the day after the winter solstice, I always take a bit of joy, even when writing in the dark of the predawn, lit only by my monitor and desk lamp. I am leaning into the coming light just the way plants will strain towards scarce sunlight in a shade garden."
