Yahoo Google hates bloggers because they changed the AdSense rules to disallow other contextual ad networks on sites. Google hates bloggers because they now don't allow other ads that visually resemble AdSense blocks.

Start of "HTML on a prim" programming and parcel URLs (Firefox integration). Backbone is our service infrastructure protocols (HTTP, XML), is scalable, can handle lots of queries per second, and can be changed without downing the grid (more on this in a bit).

Two main outcomes from these spurious takedown notices are likely, in my opinion: 1) The concepts of "public space" and "public figures" in the context of Second Life will become more clearly defined.

Linden Lab altered the Terms of Service for its virtual world Second Life last week. The section [ still ] states that when you submit your content to Second Life, you grant Linden Lab and all users an extensive license to use the content in any way within Second Life.

Back in September, 2006, the total number of Second Life registrants reached the 600k mark, with the number of users online concurrently hovering around 10k. Since September, registrations have roughly tripled to 1.87M, with concurrency almost doubling, peaking at around 18k users.

Fees for owning a virtual island in the online world of Second Life will soon be raised, Linden Lab announced yesterday. Linden Lab made the pricing change due to what it described as "ongoing investments in developing and maintaining the underlying technology" of Second Life.
