I don't get mad easily, but last summer, I found myself halfway arguing over a small, still in its package wine kit that I didn't know had been left my husband's carry on. The person in uniform hasn't made the rules, but they have a job that can't be all that much fun.

The system by which this will be achieved is called IPETEE, and it works by replacing the basic operating system network stack and doing all encryption and decryption itself. More details can be found in the IPETEE technical proposal.

If you install these updates, you don't have to wait for a new iPhone before you start buying apps! iPod Touch users, however, will apparently have to wait until tomorrow for the firmware update, which will cost $9.95 -- compared to a free update for the iPhone.
