TiVo, Amazon Deal Moves Forward

The great team up between Amazon.com and TiVo has entered what can best be described as a beta phase of the new service. The pairing will eventually allow TiVo users to buy or rent videos from the Amazon.com Unbox site and watch them directly on their televisions using TiVo.

TV Land is the latest to announce it will debut a premiere episode online before it airs on the regular network.?Sit Down Comedy with David Steinberg? will air online Feb. 19, two days before the show runs in its normal slot of 10 p.m. EST on Monday night.

The folks behind Skype have unveiled their venture into the IP-based TV world. What was called The Venice Project in the planning stages is now officially Joost. The goal is to make the site?as TV-like as we can, with programmes, channels and adverts.
