Also, the Wikipedia article edited by Kohs on Norman Technologies has been marked as AfD (article for deletion) which has started a discussion that will likely determine if PR firms will have any involvement in editing their clients’ entries in Wikipedia, and how the process should work.

As a brand manager, do not be afraid to come together with own groups for your own brands to be stronger, and do not forget that you are a customer yourself. Harness the brands as business, and when Duran Duran came into SL, the fans came into SL without much knowledge of SL.

The thing for the large corporations is that they are trying to set up barriers to competitors from coming into SL - how do we as SL'ers make sure that companies do not interfere with the people who just want to do their thing in SL, or other companies...

But, you have things like the American Cancer Society opening an office in SecondLife, and you see that there is value because members in SL and ACS RL'ers wanted to do outreach within the community, and find ways to share information.

That is why I was so upset by the Wall Street Journal's revelation of involvement by a PR firm, the DCI Group, (sub. req'ed) in the spoofing of the Al Gore documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth," because it reinforces so much of the Der Spiegel story line.

PR Week has it exactly right in its editorial on July 31. The response from ad agencies is to develop their ancillary businesses, from direct marketing to interactive to public relations. Dieter Zetsche, the company chairman, had been established, the advertising might have succeeded.

My new (6th) book is out this month - "The Everything Blogging Book" - and because it was a "work-for-hire" project instead of a regular book deal like my previous books, there is no budget for promoting the book other than their already established formula.

Has E3 been Comdex'ed?

But, the other flipside is that working at the last CES, it became apparent that the show has become too big - and, that is pretty much what killed Comdex. I think there is a need for the shows to become more focused, to go back to less of the public showcase and more a press showcase.
