If that’s you, here’s a bit of an explanation… My recent success has literally filled me with a joy of running I’ve not known in quite some time. If you know my history, you know I was injured and it took me a LONG time to get to where I am today.

At exactly one hour into the run (30 minutes of fooling with my foot plant) I thought,?Wow, I?m feeling good!?. Romanov?s words??pull your god-damn foot from the ground!? Do not focus on anything other than on lifting your foot as soon as you sense it contacting the ground.

I forgot my heart rate monitor chest strap/transmitter at home which meant for today’s hard run, I had to guesstimate effort. Heart Rate: Unknown but guesstimated(?!) at 167.

I was sick all weekend with a nose and throat cold and today was my long run. And not just any long run - it was the week I jump from two to two and a half hours. But, two hours later my head goes back to its pre-run state.

Yesterday=my 1st 2.5 hour run on the new training program Today=90 minutes slow Felt awesome. No nigglies. Just good endorphine filled running. Time: 1:30 Distance: 9.33 miles Pace: 9:39 min/mile Avg. Heart Rate: 153 tags:running training

NEWS: Running for Trees

Tree-athlon is organised by Trees For Cities and consists of a 5k run on September 23rd in either Battersea Park, London or Cannock Forest in the Midlands. At the end of the run you get to plant a tree from seed.
