Giving up on Work e-mail - Status Report on Weeks 15 to 20

Not very helpful, to say the least … | | But then again, last week things were back on track, once more, or, even better, when the total number of e-mails hit a new low in the five months I have been giving up on work related e-mail!

And it gets better, because the second reaction you are provoking with such interactions is that the next time that same person needs something they would remember how fast you have been using IM vs. e-mail and therefore will only send you IMs from there onwards!

Gavin Heaton raises an important point over on his blog: that ‘expert’ is a very meaning-ridden word. Read their blog (assuming they have one), listen to their podcasts, google them, find out who links to them and who they link to (who you keep company with says much about you).
